VoIP Implementation Assessment MethodologyOur engineers perform an inventory of all network devices and assess their suitability for VoIP traffic. VoIP traffic planning is performed in an effort to monitor the equipment's current utilization and their capacity for carrying additional voice traffic. We gathers device-specific information about queuing and queue drops; WAN link bandwidth utilization; CPU and buffer utilization; and errors. A device readiness factor is assigned to each monitored device or link based on the findings. Call quality is assessed based on a Mean Opinion Score (MOS) estimate which takes into account important factors, such as codec, delay, lost data, and jitter, that affect call quality in any VoIP implementation. VoIP Implementation Assessment Deliverables SummaryOnce completed, the client will receive documented results of the assessment in a written report which outlines the scope and requirements of the client’s migration to VOIP. This report will include an extensive pre-design analysis and deployment strategy including data and voice topology diagrams, and recommendations for hardware, components, labor and training.
